The Entrance to Shark KeyJust 7 miles outside of Key West, Shark Key is a peninsula that extends from US Route 1 into Florida Bay, on the Gulf of Mexico side of the Florida Keys. Coral rock excavated from nearby areas is used extensively in guardrail columns, Flowers in Bloom Line the Winding Roadsmailbox pedestals and gateways. Heavy chains, salvaged from a decommissioned Navy ship, line the winding streets.

Minutes away on the island of Key West, you can enjoy the best of dining, shopping, nightlife and the arts. For everyday needs, major retail stores such as Home Depot, Publix, Albertsons, Walgreens, Kmart, Pier One Imports and many others are conveniently located within a few miles of Shark Key. Jet and commuter service is available several times daily out of Key West Airport.
